The Issue

There is a known issue with specific versions of Acadicus where the application fails to prompt to update when a new update is available.  The issue has since been resolved in version 0.78.2 and newer.


Fixing the issue involves repairing the Acadicus application from within Windows. Once repaired then the next time Acadicus is run it should prompt for update. Below we provide several methods to repair the Acadicus application.


Method #1 - Repair Manually 

Follow the instructions that are listed in the image below or download the pdf from the attached files at the bottom of this page. This method will repair any installed version of Acadicus.


Method #2 - Automated Repair Batch

This method will only repair specific versions of Acadicus (0.74.2, 0.74.3, 0.75.1, 0.78.0 & 0.78.1).

  1. Download the attached batch file "Acadicus Repair.bat". The attached file is located at the bottom of this page.
  2. Run by double clicking the "Acadicus Repair.bat" file.
  3. A window will appear and the process will automatically start.
  4. When you see this message "Repair Completed Successfully!" the process is complete. 



Method #3 - Uninstall and Fresh Install

Instead of repairing the installed Acadicus application the other way to fix the issue is to uninstall and install the latest version of Acadicus. 

  1. In Windows, open the "Add or remove programs" window.
  2. Find and uninstall Acadicus.
  3. Download the latest version of Acadicus -> here.
  4. Run the downloaded Acadicus.msi installer.
